Vehicle Maintenance Director

The Heard County Board of Commissioners will be accepting applications for the position of Director for the Heard County Vehicle Maintenance Shop. The Director’s responsibilities, requirements and expectations include but are not limited to; Fleet vehicle management, organizational skills, computer skills, can read electronic vehicle scanners, gas/diesel mechanical knowledge, mechanical abilities and skills to perform vehicle maintenance on a regular schedule, perform oil changes, tire changes, brake repairs, basic maintenance and general repairs. This position does require heavy lifting therefore, a general physical exam may be required. The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. The applicant must agree to a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check. Salary based upon experience, application and resume. Medical benefits are available after 60 days of employment. Applications will be accepted until close of business on July 19, 2024.
